This month, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the epic conclusion to the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, this film marked the last Star Wars installment directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.

Going into Revenge of the Sith, fans were aware that this was the moment Anakin Skywalker would succumb to the Dark Side and transform into Darth Vader. However, the fate of the other Jedi remained a major plot point. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister command from Palpatine that turned the Clone Troopers against the Jedi they had fought alongside during the Clone Wars, leading to the near annihilation of the Jedi Order. Given the thousands of Jedi at the time, it was plausible that some would evade Palpatine’s purge, aside from the few essential for the Original Trilogy.

In the years since, canon Star Wars stories have introduced us to several dozen survivors of Order 66. We’ve compiled a list of the top 10 who have left a significant mark on the Star Wars universe. These Jedi, ranging from Padawans to Jedi Masters, managed to survive beyond the immediate aftermath of Order 66, with some enduring longer than others, while the fates of a few remain shrouded in mystery. What unites them is their resilience in the face of Palpatine’s devastating order to “Execute Order 66.”

For this ranking, we've established specific criteria: the characters must have been part of the Jedi Order before Order 66, regardless of their final rank. This excludes Force-users like Maul and Palpatine, as well as those who never officially joined the Jedi Order, such as Jod Na Nawood. The case of Asajj Ventress, who was trained by Jedi Knight Ky Narec on Rattatak but never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, presents a gray area due to her later alignment with the Dark Side under Dooku. She earns an honorable mention, but isn't included in our official list.
