Voltorb & Hisuian Voltorb Spotlight Hour

Mark your calendars! The Spotlight Hour runs from 6 PM to 7 PM Local Time on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. This week's featured Pokémon are Voltorb and Hisuian Voltorb, doubling your chances for Shiny encounters. Both offer significant in-game advantages, especially when you need extra damage output.

Because we've got a double feature, prepare extra Poké Balls, Berries, and Incense. Catching twice the Pokémon means you'll need more resources to maximize your chances of catching Shiny versions and powering them up. Also, ensure you have ample space in your Pokémon storage to avoid interruptions during the event.

Voltorb (#100, Kanto Region): This Electric-type Pokémon evolves into Electrode using 50 candies. Catching Voltorb rewards you with 3 candies and 100 Stardust. Its max CP is 1141, with 109 Attack and 111 Defense. Voltorb is vulnerable to Ground-type moves (160% damage) and resists Electric, Flying, and Steel-type moves (63% damage). It's weak against Bug, Fire, Ice, and Poison-type moves (160% damage), but resists Grass, Steel, and Water-type moves (63% damage), and Electric-type moves (39% damage).
