Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo launches another exciting title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the musou genre. This new roguelite, featuring familiar faces from the Warriors series, is available now.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows players to assemble a team of characters and battle through hordes of enemies. The isometric perspective evokes the feel of Diablo and the acclaimed roguelite Hades.

Gameplay involves assembling a team to combat the forces of "hell," facing demonic adversaries. The trailer highlighted characters from various Warriors titles, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang.

According to the PlayStation Blog, characters can be recruited and added to your team, granting access to additional summoning abilities. Players can utilize up to seven active heroes in combat, with a roster of 100 warriors available at launch.

Koei Tecmo intends to expand the character roster with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors, and hinted at further expansions, even suggesting the possibility of characters from outside the Warriors franchise joining the fray.

Warriors: Abyss is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is scheduled for February 13, 2025. Players seeking the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
