Crafting Words in Letterlike
Letterlike's roguelike nature ensures each playthrough offers a fresh challenge with procedurally generated letter sets and obstacles. The possibilities are endless, leading to countless victories.
Each game begins with a set of letters. Your objective: create meaningful words, accumulate points, and conquer levels. Each level comprises three rounds.
To progress, you must achieve a sufficient point total by forming high-scoring words, reminiscent of Scrabble. However, each round grants only five attempts (lives). Strategic word creation is key!
Facing an unpromising letter combination? Don't despair. You can discard letters, but discards are limited, demanding careful consideration.
A handy rearrange mode allows you to drag, drop, and shuffle letters to optimize your word creations.
Letterlike's final round introduces a twist: a special ability renders certain letters worthless, yielding zero points.
Earned points and rewards unlock various in-game items to enhance subsequent playthroughs. Some buffs are automatically applied, while others require reaching specific levels. Collected gems also facilitate powerful upgrades, smoothing the path for future challenges.
