World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces customizable character select screens with collectible campsites! Four new campsites debut, with more promised in future updates.

This new personalization feature, expanding on the Warbands system from The War Within, lets players select and name individual camps for their characters, each showcasing a unique background. These backgrounds are now accessible via a new tab in the Collections pane, offering previews and unlock information.

The Ohn’ahran Overlook is automatically unlocked upon logging in after Patch 11.1. The remaining campsites require completing specific achievements or progressing through seasonal content. Players can easily switch between their unlocked campsites on the character select screen, even choosing a random favorite.

Blizzard's commitment to expanding this feature suggests future updates will add more campsites, potentially through various avenues including new content, older zones, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the in-game shop.
