This quest is notably simpler than others like Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms in WuWa, requiring less time and effort to complete. Here’s a comprehensive walkthrough for those seeking guidance on The Last Knight.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To begin this quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the quest What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing. We highly recommend completing the main storyline before venturing into Rinascita, as many side quests are unlocked after finishing Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the necessary quests, travel to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven and locate Cosimo. He'll be standing in front of the first house near the main road exiting the town, marked by a blue quest indicator on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries are performances honoring a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. To advance in this quest, you must participate in this performance by defeating the Mad Knight and engaging in other activities.

The Mad Knight only appears at night. Advance the time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day, then head to the pool in the town center. This enemy is not particularly challenging, so unleash your full arsenal to take it down.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town, and follow the quest marker to find Carlow. You'll find him unconscious beside a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you must identify the mimic among several chests.

The first three supply chests are genuine. In the next set, only one chest is real—the second one in the middle-left position. Opening the correct chest will reward you with Astrites and other items, but be prepared to fend off the mimics that attack afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After recovering from the purple flower's effects, you'll be tasked with visiting the second and third locations the legendary Mad Knight supposedly visited. This part involves following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will mention a strange odor. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. For this battle, consider equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry and stun the Chop Chop effectively.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that no legendary knight ever existed in Whisperwind Haven. Instead, he and other Windmill Keepers have been the protectors, masquerading as knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. You'll find him being mocked by two knights. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to duel one of them, abandoning his idealized vision of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of protection.

The quest concludes after Carlow initiates the duel. You'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources upon completion, marking The Last Knight as completed in the Tales of the Isles event.
