Activision has announced a later-than-expected release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone's Season 3: April 3rd.

This announcement, made via the official Call of Duty Twitter account, pushes back the season launch from the previously anticipated March 20th, as indicated by the in-game Battle Pass countdown. While the delay might disappoint some, Activision assures players that the extra time is dedicated to ensuring a high-quality experience.

The delay, however, doesn't diminish the excitement surrounding Season 3. Activision has heavily hinted at the return of the popular Verdansk map, fueling anticipation amongst players. This speculation was further ignited by a recent in-game shop pop-up teasing "The Verdansk Collection," slated for release on March 10th. This strongly suggests the map's comeback will coincide with or shortly precede the collection's launch.

Further details regarding Season 3 are promised next week, likely coinciding with or following the "Verdansk Collection" release. Until then, players can continue enjoying Season 2's offerings, which include five new multiplayer maps, the return of Gun Game, new weapons and operators, and a thrilling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event.
