Amidst the excitement, one particular detail has captured the internet's attention: the new playable character, Moo Moo Meadows Cow, can indeed eat burgers and steak, among other food items.

The introduction of the Cow as a racer in Mario Kart World has sparked a wave of enthusiasm across social media, with fans creating memes and fanart celebrating this charming addition to the Mario Kart universe. Previously just a background character in the Moo Moo Meadows track, the Cow has now taken center stage.

However, the reveal also raised an intriguing question among fans: if the Cow is a playable character, would she consume beef products like burgers and steak, which are typically derived from cows? This curiosity was fueled by a scene in the Nintendo Direct 2 trailer where Mario was seen eating a burger.

At the Nintendo event, IGN confirmed that food items, such as burgers, steak kebabs, pizza, and donuts, are available at Yoshi's diner locations within the game's courses. Racers can grab these items in a drive-thru fashion, similar to picking up item boxes. And yes, the Cow can eat all of these food items, including burgers and steak.

IGN captured a moment where the Cow was seen enjoying a burger, prompting further questions about the effects of these food items on the Cow. While other racers undergo costume changes upon consuming food, the Cow does not appear to experience any transformations. This has led to speculation about whether these are perhaps veggie burgers or Beyond meat kebabs, or if there's a yet-to-be-revealed power-up associated with the Cow's food consumption.
