The Gothic 1 Remake demo has been released on Steam
To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where players embody the Nameless Hero, this demo lets you experience the harsh world of Khorinis through the eyes of Nyras, a prisoner. Despite the protagonist change, the core objective remains: survival.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the Gothic Remake demo has already shattered concurrent player records for the entire series:

This prologue showcases the impressive visual overhaul, boasting updated graphics, animations, and a refined combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the demo offers a glimpse into this enhanced experience, it naturally doesn't fully capture the expansive freedom and intricate RPG mechanics planned for the complete game.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG). A firm release date is yet to be announced.
