Roblox developer Kitawari has released the highly anticipated Winter Update 3.0 for Anime Vanguards, bringing a fresh wave of exciting changes and improvements to the beloved tower-defense game. This update is packed with winter-themed content designed to keep players engaged and entertained for weeks to come. The most striking change you'll notice upon logging in is the revamped lobby, which now offers more space and a more immersive experience for anime fans. The lobby's new design is complemented by a remastered UI, featuring an enhanced stage selection interface that the team describes as "much better and cleaner."

"We heard your issues with our current lobby; it was too small and cramped, and we were running out of places to put new game modes," Kitawari stated in the Winter Update 3.0 patch notes. "Get ready for our stunning new lobby – 10x more impressive than anything you’ve seen, featuring a customizable Day and Night cycle which you can check out in Settings!"

Another highlight of the Winter Update 3.0 is the introduction of a new game mode called Portals. Kitawari encourages players to utilize winter units and skins to boost team damage and unlock additional rewards. Additionally, Sandbox Mode has been added, allowing players to experiment with new strategies without limitations. Players can look forward to collecting 12 new units, which are available across various new features including the Winter Banner, Portals game mode, battle pass, and new leaderboard rewards.

Kitawari has also implemented numerous quality-of-life improvements to enhance the overall gameplay experience. These include smoother unit placement, Evolution Quests now appearing in a special tab, and the addition of search bars in the skins and familiars windows. Units now also properly highlight the enemies they are attacking, making it easier for players to strategize.

Anime Vanguards' Winter Update 3.0 continues Kitawari's commitment to regular updates since the game's launch last January. Following player feedback on the cramped lobby, Kitawari has introduced a stunning new lobby that's 10x more impressive, featuring a customizable Day and Night cycle accessible in Settings.

Now, you can fuse unwanted units into others to level them up, offering an alternative to using XP food items.

Tournament participants will now receive unique titles each week. The top player will earn the Tournament Champion title, while those ranking 2-5 will receive the Tournament Contender title.

NEW! Collection Milestone

Collect a set number of units from each rarity to unlock special rewards. The more units you gather, the greater the rewards you can claim.

NEW! Enemy Index Milestones

Earn rewards by filling out your Enemy Index. Documenting sets of enemies will grant you special prizes, such as Trait Rerolls.

NEW! Trophy Exchange Shop

A dedicated area for trophies and a trophy shop have been added, where you can purchase Emotes using trophies.

NEW! Spectate Mode Options

When spectating a unit, you can now choose between Default, First Person, Third Person, and Top-Down views. The spectate interface now also indicates which unit you're watching.

NEW! Health Stocks

The health system has been updated to use base stocks. Instead of 150 health, you now start with 3 stocks per stage. One enemy reaching the base will deduct 1 stock, and losing all stocks results in a match loss. Bosses will instantly deplete all stocks upon reaching the base.

NEW! The Hidden Gateway awakens…

The mysterious portal item, available as a Floor 50 reward in Worldlines, has revealed its purpose. Use it to open a gateway to a hidden challenge and uncover the Secret within.
