在接受Automaton采访时，《如龙》系列的开发团队分享了他们独特的幕后运作方式，以及如何利用积极的争论和内部冲突来打造更好的游戏。
系列总监堀井雄介透露，如龙工作室内部成员之间的冲突不仅常见，而且被视为改进游戏质量的一种方式。“如果设计师和程序员发生争执，策划者的职责就是调解，”堀井解释道，并补充说这样的争论可以带来积极成果。
“毕竟，如果没有争论和讨论，最终产品只会平淡无奇。因此，冲突总是受欢迎的，”他补充道。他还进一步解释说，从这些冲突中获得的重要经验是确保它们能带来积极的结果。“如果冲突没有带来富有成效的结论，那么争论就毫无意义，因此策划者需要引导每个人朝着正确的方向前进。关键在于进行健康而富有成效的争论。”
堀井还提到，工作室的团队倾向于“齐心协力地奋斗”，而不是回避冲突。“我们根据创意的优劣来接受意见，而不是根据哪个团队提出的，”他说。与此同时，工作室也不害怕拒绝那些不符合他们高标准的想法。“我们也会‘毫不留情’地否决糟糕的想法，所以归根结底，为了制作一款好游戏，我们需要进行辩论和‘战斗’。”
