对日本RPG粉丝来说是个好消息！在上周的《伊苏X：诺迪克》数字展示会上，NIS America的高级副制作人Alan Costa宣布，发行商致力于加快Falcom备受喜爱的《轨迹》和《伊苏》系列游戏在西方的发行速度。
“我不能具体谈论我们在内部为此做了什么，”Costa在接受PCGamer采访时说。“但我可以说，我们一直在努力确保更快地完成Falcom游戏的本地化，”他提到了将于今年10月和明年初分别发行的《伊苏X：诺迪克》和《轨迹：黎之轨迹II》。
尽管《轨迹：黎之轨迹II》于2022年9月在日本发行，但其计划于2025年初在西方发行的版本已经“在……我们过去对《轨迹》游戏的时间表方面有了大幅缩短”。
历史上，该系列游戏让西方玩家苦等已久。例如，《空之轨迹》于2004年在日本发行PC版，直到2011年XSEED Games发行的PSP版本才登陆全球市场。即使是最近的作品，如《零之轨迹》和《碧之轨迹》，也花了十二年的时间才登陆西方市场。
前XSEED Games本地化经理Jessica Chavez在2011年解释了这些游戏的漫长本地化过程。她在博客文章中谈到《空之轨迹II》时透露，用仅几名翻译人员的团队翻译数百万个字符的浩大任务是主要瓶颈。鉴于《轨迹》游戏中文本的巨大数量，本地化历时数年也就不足为奇了。
